Undergraduate Success and Progress Rate

Shown in the graph below is data for the Fall 2002 entering class, including 3,509 first-time freshmen and 859 first-time transfer students.

After six years, 91% of first-time freshmen students who had started college at UCR in Fall 2002 have received or are pursuing their degree.  After six years, 93% of first-time transfer students who started at UCR in Fall 2002 have received or are pursuing their degree.

A 91% six-year success and progress rate means that 91% of students starting in 2002 either graduated or are sill enrolled at a college or university six years later.

Average Time to Degree

For first-time freshmen entering in the Fall of 2002, the average time to earn a bachelor's degree is 4.3 years. 64.6% do it in four years, 29.4% in five years and 6% in six years. For first-time transfer students entering in the Fall of 2004, the average time to earn a bachelor's degree is 2.4 years. 63.3% do it in four years, 39.1% in five years and 7.7% in six years.
